Hi there, my name is Clint Bowman and I’m a writer from Black Mountain, North Carolina. I’ve been writing poetry for the past decade or so, and enjoy sharing my love for words with others. I work full-time in the mountains as a outdoor recreation coordinator leading hikes, river cleanups, trail workdays, and various other programs that get people outside and away from this screen. I’m a firm believer in the importance of community in poetry, and have led free community poetry groups for the past several years. In 2016, I created the Pullman Poets Society of the High Point Arts Council, and in 2020, I co-founded the Dark City Poets Society of the Black Mountain Library, which I facilitate to this day. Poetry to me is the most accessible art form, and should be shared with others as freely and frequently as possible. Our styles may differ, and that’s the best part.
